  1. Are our systems reliable?
    To make our systems more reliable to pursue international operations Black Pearl can focus on computer clustering. This allows companies to chain together thousands of PC's to build a mass-market system. Doing this we can easily operate the markets outside of the United States within our present market.
  2. Do we have clear accountability for information security in the organization?
    In order to have clear accountability for information security in Black Pearl we must be aware of the many security threats to E-business. If we are aware of these threats we will have a great chance of preventing any run ins with hackers or viruses.

  3. Adequate customer relationship management?
    In the comic book world it is important to attract customers to make future purchases of new comics. Our customer service management team will try to sell one customer as many products as possible. The marketing departments of Black Pearl use different technolgies that allow them to gather and analyze customer information to deploy successful marketing campaigns. The three operational CRM technologies a marketing department can implement to increase customer satisfaction are: list generator, campagin management, and cross-selling and up selling.
  4. Enterprise Resource Planning?
    Enterprise resource planning integrates all departments and functions throughout an organization into a single IT system so that employees can make decisions by viewing enterprisewide information on all business operations. Doing this effectively will create many benefits for Black Pearl.

  5. Exchange Rates?
    Since Black Pearl is interested in expanding to foreign markets it is important that we understand the exchange rate. The exchange rate is the value of one nation's currency in comarison to another. These rates are very important in determining which countries will give us a competitive advantage. Therefore, it is important to know the exhange rate so that we know how much our dollar is worth when doing business over seas.
  6. Systems Development?
    Systems Development is the overall process for developing information systems from planning and analysis through implementation and maintenance. Systems can reach to be so large and complex that teams of architects, analysts, developers and testers will work together to create millions of lines of code. Systems Development is basically the foundation for all systems development methodologies.
  7. Language Barriers?
    If sites are going to be created to sell Black Pearl comics in stores such as France, Japan, and France they must be able to operate the sites with ease. With this is mind the sites should be created with their native language and with a set up that is most familiar with their culture.
